13th century Spain saw a golden age of scholarship and culture promoted by Alfonso X, and this reign’s Cultura Atlantia celebrated that age. Entrants were invited to put in pieces that reflected 13th Century Spanish culture or celebrated astrology and astronomy. This competition also was the selection for the Kingdom A&S Champion who will be leading the Atlantian entrants at War Point A&S at Pennsic.
Congratulations to winners Lady Helena Kassandreia for her embrodiered belt for Cultura Atlantia winner and to Doña Elvira de Luz with her painted fabric astronomical chess board for Kingdom A&S Champion. Congratulations as well to other entrants: Michael Russ with his astronomy inspired script for a coronation ceremony, Olivier for his dye project, and Li Yu for her embroidery.
